DIGGIN' TO DIVE IN
More than 100 kids came to break ground on the new TOSA Pool at Hoyt Park on Saturday June 19th.
Joining them were FOHPP Board members, generous donors and elected officials. When the groundbreaking was over, we crossed the bridge for an afternoon of music, games, food and fun.

Despite the chilly winds, the "Dive in for Hoyt - Sporting Goods Resale" held on May 16 was a wonderful success.

The event raised approximately $2000 for FOHPP and promoted community awareness of efforts to re-build Hoyt Pool.  Participating schools who donated, organized and delivered donations for the resale included: Jefferson, McKinley, Roosevelt, Washington, Wilson, Christ King, St. Jude, and St. Sebastian elementary schools. We also received generous donations from a multitude of local businesses for the silent auction and raffle.

The Tosa Swordfish aquatics team offered concessions throughout the day and the Milwaukee Hurling Club conducted demonstrations and clinics for all interested participants.  Tours were provided to the historic Hoyt bathhouse - and Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club's Bernie Brewer (tm), even stopped by for a visit - along with McGruff the crime dog.  Thank you to all who made this asuccessful community event!
