River Cleanup at Hoyt Park

Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool is proud to announce that Hoyt Park again will be one of the more than 50 sites on Milwaukee Riverkeeper's map for the annual spring River Cleanup. The cleanup falls on April 22, Earth Day, and this also happens to be its 22nd year. You can get full info and register on the Riverkeeper website here. Riverkeeper provides the bags, gloves, and free T-shirts, and you provide the hands and energy to pick up trash, litter and the interesting or bizarre pieces of garbage that find their way into our beautiful river system.

The Landing's Summer Opening

The Landing at Hoyt Park outdoor beer garden kicks off it's fourth season from 3 to 9 p.m., with our full drink and food menu. Come relax, socialize and enjoy the outdoors as the weather turns warmer.

Get your photo taken for your membership card and take a dip before we open to the public for 2017 season, from 5 to 8 p.m.

TOSA Pool's summer opening

Join us Memorial Day weekend to kick off the summer swimming season. TOSA Pool at Hoyt Park memberships are now on sale for the 2017 season. Full information is available at

Meet the Lifeguards

Plan to be at TOSA Pool on opening day at 11 a.m. for the first in our series of family-friendly events featuring our new in-house lifeguard crew. Our lifeguards will be on hand to offer safety tips, explain the swim test and other rules and answer questions.

Members only: I Scream for Ice Cream Night

Sassy Cow Ice Cream sundae toppings bar and samples from the Sassy Cow Creamery, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Members only: Movie Night - "Secret Life of Pets"

Enjoy an evening swim a family movie night under the stars, from 7 to 10 p.m.

Members only: 7th Annual Luau Party

Enjoy Hawaiian food selections from Ono Kine Grindz & Kealoha Shave Ice available for purchase, as well as live music with Will Ulrich and the Uke Crazy Kidz, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Members only: Movie Night - "Finding Dory"

Our second movie night, from 7 to 10 p.m. is sponsored by Cranky Al's. Enjoy an evening swim a family movie night under the stars.

Members only: Summer Wrap-Up

Enjoy one last member night at the pool before summer is over, from 6 to 9 p.m. with live music from the Front Porch Rockers - perfect music for good times in summer weather

TOSA Youth Triathlon

The Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool is hosting our second annual youth triathlon for children ages 9-15 on Saturday, Aug. 26, at TOSA Pool at Hoyt Park. Participants will swim at TOSA Pool, bike the Menomonee River Parkway and run the Oak Leaf Trail and surrounding Hoyt Park.

Join us Labor Day weekend to close out the summer swimming season with a splash.

3rd Annual Classic Car Show

Have a classic car? Like classic cars? Stop by Hoyt Park and check out the entries or enter your own classic car. Pre-registration is $10 per car and the show is open to all makes/types and age of cars. Dash plaques for the first 100 entries, food and refreshments!

Ghostly Gathering

We're having a Halloween party, and you're invited! Join us as we celebrate our final Firefly Friday Night with a Ghostly Gathering at The Landing from 6 to 9 p.m. Festivities include live music and a costume contest, as well as treats for ghouls and goblins of all ages.

Buckthorn Removal

Join us to help eradicate this invasive species from the park, part of an effort led by The Park People of Milwaukee County, Inc. The Weed-Out is a rewarding day of volunteering. We have been working for several years to control the spread of buckthorn in order to restore native species to Hoyt Park with the help of our hard-working volunteers.

Winter Wonderland

Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool invite you to embrace the winter season and its beauty at our Winter Wonderland event. It will include winter-themed activities for children in the historic Grand Hall, as well as a winter woods walk through the surrounding park and landscaped pool area led by staff member and horticulturalist Michael Kreuser.
